What a day 2 - Blue Knights and St George

Saturday 24th April - evening.

What a day I am having. Having sang at the Red Hat convention this afternoon, it was back to my hotel to get changed for my next function.

This evening, I was invited to the Blue Knights England XIV - St Georges Knight Gala Dinner held at the Headland Hotel, Torquay. What a night it was!

Fist all the ladies were presented with red roses upon entering the function room swiftly followed by a Bucks Fizz. We were all entertained when St George paraded in resplendent in his colours and followed by the Dragon!

We were treated to speeches associated with the histor of St George and a speaker. All too soon, it was my turn and I was so pleased to see the welcoming faces. They were singing along (albeit quietly) and following my final song "Time to say Goodbye - Con te Partiro) I received a standing ovation. That was truly wonderful and unexpected.

The Blue Knights were really great and I was able to let my hair down and join in the dancing later. What fun! They have invited me back next year!

Thanks to the team for inviting me.

What a Day - first the Red Hats!

Saturday 24th April.

The Red Hats were holding a convention in Torquay, with ladies attending from all around he country. Boy, it was a very colourful sight with their purple clothes and various red hats!

I had been asked to attend to sing a song at the end of the convention. It was a great experience and rom my perspective, very colourful looking out into a room full of colour!
